50 Is The New 30

I can’t believe I will be fifty soon. In fact I keep doing the math. Perhaps I calculated wrong, accidentally added a few extra years, after all, our age looses its importance at a certain point and we find ourselves saying “it’s just another year, no big deal.” Well, it really doesn’t have to be a big deal. In fact I say it’s truly irrelevant. You have heard it said before “age is just a number” but now, when I say it, I REALLY mean it! I have almost boundless energy. I maintain a healthy weight nearly effortlessly. I feel and look better than I have in many years. I look forward to the rest of my life with a perspective I never had before. I can tell you that the 40’s and beyond can be the best years of your life.

My life (like everybody’s) has taken some drastic and sometimes gut wrenching turns, but now as I peek back I can clearly see their purpose, they brought me to this point. A point that forced me to adapt and grow. To open my mind to new ideas regarding health and wellness, to change my ingrained patterns and flip how I do almost everything. When we dive deep in to the truth about nutrition, and fitness beyond the hype, we can see that vitality, at any age, is attainable. Hormonal balance, real food, loving relationships, a healthy work atmosphere along with rest and self care are just a few aspects that intertwine to form how we feel and how we live our lives each day.

With age comes knowledge. With knowledge comes balance. With balance comes vitality and health at any age.
